AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today alleged that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were being tampered with to favour Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the February 7 Assembly election.
Kejriwal claimed that it was found during an inspection of four such machines at Delhi Cantonment area yesterday. He alleged that whatever button was pressed on the machines, the light against the BJP symbol lit up.
“Large scale EVM tampering? Yest (yesterday), during inspection of EVMs in Del cant (Delhi Cantt), in 4 machines, whatever button u pressed, light against BJP lit,” he said in a tweet.
Arvind Kejriwal’s reaction on twitter:
We urge CEC to allow us to put a banner outside each booth educating voters abt EVMs.

He, however, did not explain where the inspection of the EVMs was carried out. Official sources said that inspection of EVMs are carried out and at times public representatives are also taken along for random checking of the machines.
