Earthquake in Uttarakhand: A 4.1 magnitude quake on the Richter scale rocked this North Indian region that spanned Chamoli, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Dehradun and Bageshwar areas.

Earthquake in Uttarakhand: A 4.1 magnitude medium intensity quake on the Richter scale rocked this North Indian region late tonight that spanned Chamoli, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Dehradun and Bageshwar areas.

According to National Centre for Seismology, the epicenter of the quake was Pithoragarh in the state and it struck around 23:30 PM at the depth of 15 km.

The earthquake forced people to flee from their homes into open spaces.

No immediate reports of any damage or injuries to people or livestock has been reported.
