In a major development, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale hit the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Reportedly, the earthquake hit the state around 8.25 PM. More details about today's quake are yet to be known. The state was hit by yet another earthquake earlier in the week on March 10. The India Meteorological Department had confirmed the news and stated that the quake was measured 4.5 on the Richter scale. There was no damage to life or property as the quake was a low-density one. The IMD had said that the depth of the quake was 10 kilometers and it resulted in jolts for a few seconds across most parts of the state. Further details awaited.
