Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Friday posed a meme abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The tweet took a shot at PM Modi and his followers, who were termed as ‘Bhakts’, a derogatory term used by anti-Modi groups on social media against people supporting Modi. The meme posted by Digvijaya had a picture of PM Modi with text next to it that read, “Mere do achievements 1.) Bhakton ko C** banaya 2.) C*** ko Bhakt banaya.”
Singh, however, added a caveat to his post by saying, “Not mine but couldn’t help posting it. My apologies to the person concerned. He is the best in the art of fooling!” This quote is an apparent jab at Prime Minister Modi.”
The Congress leader is famous for posting controversial tweets targeting Modi and BJP in past. However, many tweeple didn’t find his cheap meme on Modi in good taste.
“This the level of a General Secretary of a National Party… He was Chief Minister of a state…. Cheap,” commented a user identified as Yogesh Mandhani. “When an elected representative tweet something with word ‘c***’ in it, tells a lot about his character, leadership and vision,” wrote Miss Arya.
A user Meera commented, “You are simply making PM Modi more powerful and your such mudslinging is not helping you being responsible opposition #Reflect.” On user commented, “Dear @INCIndia @OfficeOfRG , don’t blame anyone else when u go from 44 to 4 in 2019. People like Digvijay will cause your downfall.” Vikas advised Digvijaya, “Sir ji time to eat center fresh.”
