Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday spoke to the reporters and hit out at the Modi government again. Speaking against the demonetisation drive, Gandhi said that the move was the biggest scam in the history of India. He said that if he was allowed to speak in the parliament, it would trigger an earthquake. He spoke about the Prime Minister’s absence in the parliament and said that even though the opposition had been attempting to have a debate on the issue in the House, PM Narendra Modi hasn’t been present for it. He further said that the opposition had been trying for an entire month now, and wanted the truth to come out.

He again targetted the PM and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was travelling all over the country giving speeches but was afraid to attend the Lok Sabha. He then went on to ask about the reason behind the PM’s fear. Earlier the BJP had accused the Congress Vice President of levelling baseless accusations against the PM to stay in the headlines. The BJP had then dared him to speak on the issue of demonetisation in the parliament. Attacking the Congress Vice President, the ruling party said, on the one hand, he claims to speak about the interests of the common man but on the other hand Congress was stalling Parliament for three weeks and wasting the public money spent on running it.

Earlier, Gandhi had accused the Prime Minister of informing his associates about the demonetisation scheme before it had officially been announced to help they find solutions. Gandhi had also taken shots at the new narrative of the government i.e’ cashless economy and said that Paytm was actually a process of ‘Pay to Modi’ and he would debunk it once he speaks in the parliament.
