Delhi Metro has been one of the pioneering structures in New Delhi. The metro-transit system has helped the people of Delhi to be connected and reduced the time of travelling by a considerable amount. And on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to organise a six-day Article & Slogan Writing Competition exclusively for its women commuters from 28th February – 5th March 2018. The topic for the competition is “Share your experience: when you felt Strong, Safe and Liberated with Delhi Metro”.
This gives an interesting opportunity to the daily female commuters to express themselves and get their voice heard. Delhi Metro understands that a substantial percentage of Metro’s ridership is comprised of Women. Delhi Metro ensured that women commuters feel safe, comfortable and have a hassle-free journey. It was in the early days when Delhi Metro had reserved seats for the women and had a separate coach in every Metro train.
In order to salute the spirit of all women, Delhi Metro has organized this Story & Slogan Writing Competition. All women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through the official website of Delhi Metro: www.delhimetrorail.com. They can submit their stories and slogans in English or Hindi by filling up the form on the website. The maximum word limit for the Story is 150 words and for the Slogan is 50 words. The late date of the online entries is until midnight of March 5, 2018.
The selected entries or the best slogans will be awarded in a function on March 8, 2018, on International Women’s Day. The function will be held at Delhi Metro’s Corporate Office at Metro Bhawan, Fire Brigade Lane at New Delhi’s Barakhamba Road.
