In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly killing his 42-year-old male colleague and then dumping his body in RK Puram. The accused, has been identified as 24-year-old Anish. An amount of Rs 5 lakh, two vehicles and assault weapons were recovered from him.
According to the police, information was received on August 29 about a missing person, identified as Mahesh, a surveyor in the office of Survey of India at Defence Officers Complex near Sarojini Nagar Depot. A missing report was lodged by his brother Manish at RK Puram Police Station, The Indian Express reported.

As per the missing person report, Mahesh called his sister-in-law at around 12.30 PM on August 28 and told her that he was visiting his colleague Anish in RK Puram, and has been missing since then. However, when the family contacted the accused, he put together a different story.
According to the police, Anish told the family member that Mahesh had come to meet him but went away to meet another person and gave him his car and its key. It was revealed during inquiry that Anish murdered Mahesh over a debt he took from the latter and was being forced to return.
Mahesh’s body was recovered on September 2. The accused, Anish, worked with Mahesh as a clerk. According to India Today, on August 28, Anish took a day off to execute his murder plan. He bought a 6-foot polythene sheet and a shovel from the markets in Lajpat Nagar and South Extension to execute the crime. Later in the afternoon, he invited the victim to his house in RK Puram Sector 2.
According to police, Anish stated that he hit Mahesh on the head with a pipe wrench, causing his death on the spot. After the incident, he allegedly fled on his motorcycle to his hometown in Sonipat, leaving his mobile in Delhi.
Further investigations are underway.
