In what could be seen as an effect of CM Yogi Adityanath’s poll promises, authorities have shut two illegal slaughter houses in the city of Allahabad. The slaughter houses were sealed by Uttar Pradesh’s Allahabad sealed by Nagar Nigam authorities, ANI reported. Taking illegal slaughterhouses into account was a key poll promise made by Bharatiya Janata Party in its election campaign. In a rally addressed in Maharajganj, party vowed to shut illegal slaughter houses in the state. “Instead of blood of cattle, there will be streams of milk and ghee flowing throughout the state,” Shah had said.
Soon after the BJP’s thumping victory state, the BJP chief had assured that next state government in Uttar Pradesh will close all slaughter houses. Shah, while speaking to India Today TV, asserted that he had promised to shut down all the slaughter houses state. “The next government will shut down all the slaughter houses in UP,” Amit Shah said during the conversation.

In his first press conference after taking oath as UP CM, Adityanath had said that all promises made by Bharatiya Janata Party in its ‘Sankalp Patra’ will be fulfilled. “Govt will work for all section of society without any partiality, for this administration will be made accountable and answerable,” Yogi had said. The CM also talked about corruption, the law and order situation in the state and said, “Bhrashtachar, khraab kanoon vyavastha se yahan ki janta ko nuksaan pahuncha. Humari sarkaar lok kalyan ke liye kaam karegi. (The people in the state are at a loss because of corruption, bad law and order. Our government will for for the development of the people.)”
