Chhattisgarh Congress today passed a resolution condemning Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s controversial remarks against party President Sonia Gandhi.
“We have passed a resolution condemning the objectionable statement made by Giriraj Singh,” State Congress President Bhupesh Baghel told reporters here.
The resolution was passed at a meeting of the party’s State office-bearers here and the same will be approved by district-level functionaries tomorrow, he said.
Besides, the Opposition party has decided to burn an effigy of the NDA Government tomorrow across the BJP-ruled State to register their protest against Singh’s remarks, Baghel added.
The BJP Minister has kicked up a row with his remarks asking whether Congress would have accepted Gandhi’s leadership had she not been white-skinned.
