Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Tiruppur, Tiruchirappalli Election Results Highlights: TVK leads Salem, party bags 108 seats

The Election Commission of India declared TVK candidate N Sukumar as the winner of Sulur constituency on its website.

Congress MP Karthi Chidambaram congratulated Vijay after TVK emerged as the single-largest party in Tamil Nadu.

ECI data showed that Chief Minister MK Stalin is still trailing past TVK candidate VS Babu by over 7,000 votes after the completion of 15 rounds of counting.

The data from the Election Commission revealed that INC candidate P.Vishwanathan won the Melur Assembly constituency with 60,080 seats. TVK's A Maduraiveeran lost the polls after bagging 57,356 votes.

TVK chief Vijay is leading from the Trichy East constituency with 12,015 votes after eight rounds of counting. The actor-turned-politician is also leading from Perambur constituency by 19,100 votes after eight rounds of counting.

DMK candidate Senthil Balaji is leading in Coimbatore South by 1,114 votes.

TVK candite T Arunkumar is leading from the Thiruvallur seat by 6505 votes after 11 rounds of counting. The DMK candidate is at second spot followed by AIADMK, ECI data shows.

DMK candidate and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin is ahead in Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni seat with a lead of just 1,000 votes.

According to the ECI data, DMK candidate KN Nehru is leading in Trichy (West) by 3878 votes, with TVK candidate in second spot after 17th round of counting.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has made a comeback in Edapaddi Assembly constituency with a margin of 10116 votes, according to data shared on the ECI website.

Actor-politician Vijay's TVK is leading in both Coimbatore North and South with candidates V Sampathkumar and V Senthilkumar, respectively showing strong performance.

Coimbatore South is witnessing a close contest between DMK's Senthil Balaji and TVK's Senthilkumar. According to ECI, Senthil Balaji has bagged 3,481 votes while Senthilkumar has bagged 3,213.
