Champions of Change: Ahead of meet with Narendra Modi, young execs share transformational inputs with PM

On day 2 of Champions of Change event in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to meet 200 young Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) today.

On day 2 of Champions of Change event in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to meet 200 young Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) today (when they will make their presentations) took their inputs in accelerating the growth of businesses and also to promote job creation during a dinner meet on Monday. Niti Aayog shared a post on their Twitter account and said, “#ChampionsOfChange – CEOs of 200 top companies – deliberate on key action points for delivering change, to present to PM @narendramodi today.” The young CEOs who will present their ideas today to PM Modi will include Bajaj Auto’s Rajiv Bajaj, Future Retail’s Avni Biyani, Priya Pant of Park Hotel and Nikhil Nanda of Escorts. In a similar event last week PM Narendra Modi met with 212 young entrepreneurs last week as part of the ‘Champions Of Change’ programme organised by Niti Aayog, according to PTI.

Under the ‘Champions of Change’ programme that began on August 21 on six themes – New India by 2022, Doubling Farmer’s Incomes, Creating Cities of Tomorrow, Taking Forward Make in India, Reforming Financial sector, Building World- Class Infrastructure. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley along with top government officials and union ministers. The meeting that are scheduled to continue today will be followed by a dinner which will be attended by the Prime Minister, according to PTI.

According to a senior Niti Aayog official, after completion of the deliberations, the CEOs will make a presentation today in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on action points which could be incorporated in the 15-Year Vision Document. He further added, “CEOs have been divided into six groups and these groups may be attached to the ministries concerned as part of the institutionalisation process to ensure that they act as guiding stars on crucial issues.”
