BSSC exam date: In a shocking turn to events that may affect the future of thousands of candidates, the Bihar State Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) examination scheduled to be held on Sunday has been cancelled due exam paper leak on social media. The Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has asked for a thorough probe following which Parmeshwar Ram, Secretary of Bihar State Staff Selection Commission was interrogated.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police, Manu Maharajhas told PTI that police is interrogating Parmeshwar Ram in connection with paper leak matter. Ram was detained and his interrogation took place on February 8. Special Investigation Team has been formed to uncover the alleged illegal practice taking place in State Staff Selection Commission in recruitment of clerks in state jobs.

Parmeshwar Ram was detained at mid-night after a search at his residence. An officer of SIT said that besides Ram other people are also being interrogated in this regard.

The Department pulled their socks as soon as CM Nitish Kumar took serious notice of the matter and ordered Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and DGP P K Thakur to enquire into the matter.
Police had tracked down 5 people and arrested them from a rented flat in Nawada on the same day.
Producing an explanation on their part, the Commission has dodged every allegation against them. But Nitish Kumar is not ready to take this as an answer and has ordered for a full fledged probe to unearth the truth.
Last year Bihar was caught up in a similar scam of the Bihar School Examination Board toppers following which Chairperson of BSEB Lalkeshwar Singh , Secretary and proprietor of an Intermediate college Bachha Rai was arrested.
