BMW hit and run case Delhi: In yet another horrific incident, a 50-year-old man was killed on Wednesday after being a victim of the hit-and-run case in the national capital by a Delhi University student.

BMW hit and run case Delhi: In yet another horrific incident, a 50-year-old man was killed on Wednesday after being a victim of the hit-and-run case in the national capital by a Delhi University student. The victim, who has been identified as Shiv Nath was hit by a speeding BMW car in the Maurice Nagar area of Delhi after which he died, according to ANI. Further, the accused, 21-year-old Abhinav Sahni was arrested on Thursday, a day after the incident took place. He was later released on bail. The Delhi police had arrested the DU student after going through the CCTV footage of the incident after which they questioned the witnesses also.

As shown in the CCTV footage, Shiv Nath, can be seen trying to cross a road; however, as he sees the fast approaching BMW SUV, he speeds up but to no avail, as the car bumps him off. Though the car comes to a halt after the victim gets flung several feet into the air, it can be seens that moments later, the maroon-coloured BMW speeds away leaving the victim behind.

The incident took place on Wednesday and the CCTV footage of the same has gone viral on social media ever since. While Sahni fled the spot after the incident, Nath was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead, the police said.

    It looks like the man is coming is on suicide.Car speed is not high .Sorry for the loss of life. The country should spend more on road safety.

      The man crossing the street was clearly at fault. Sorry that he lost his life. Look at media, just because the guy was in a BMW, they have made him a convict already..

          actually, the crossing pan should be fined for throwing himself up onto the car and breaching the traffic rules. no one would cross like that and from the video it is very evident that the man just flung himself intentionally onto the car.

            don't make it an issue it is clear that the man suddenly came in front of the car.every loss is a loss but that doesn't mean you put the blame on the person who is alive just because you cant accuse the dead out of sympathy.owning a BMW and being a rich is not crime but crossing the road without care is a mistake, the man just paid for it.it may sound harsh, but this is reality.if the boy would have stayed there the onlookers would have thrashed him just because he is rich wons an expensive car and the victim is a poor one.
