Hitting-out at the BJP and its leaders, Singh said, ” My party (the Congress) will never resort to such a strategy in which people are divided on the lines of region, religion and caste.” “It has been the modus-operandi of BJP leaders to resort to cheap tactics of dividing people when elections are round the corner,” he said.

Launching a veiled attack on turncoats, Singh said that there are a few leaders who are trying to switch loyalties. They forget that those who “cannot be loyal to themselves, cannot be faithful to others as well”, he said. “The BJP its seems wants the people of the state to remain illiterate. The government will open more centers of learning,” he said On an AIIMS for the state, Singh said that the stand of the Union Health Minister was not clear.
