BJP leader Gajendra Bhati shot dead in broad daylight in Khora Colony of Ghaziabad

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gajendra Bhati was shot dead by criminals in the Khora Colony area of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, reported ANI on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place in broad daylight.

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gajendra Bhati was shot dead by criminals in the Khora Colony area of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, reported ANI on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place in broad daylight. As per ANI, Police has reached the site where the BJP leader was killed. The BJP leader’s death comes just two days after Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the law and order situation in the in the city. According to officials Adityanathasked police to improve the law and order situation in the city and also instructed the police to ensure that a crime free environment is maintained, apart from ensuring the safety of the public on the streets. UP CM Adityanath is also from the BJP, as per the Times of India.

The UP CM also reviewed development work at the district level during his visit. The CM had reviewed development agenda which had been set by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs VK Singh, who represents the constituency in the Lok Sabha. Adityanath also reviewed the progress of major infrastructure projects which have been undertaken by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), these projects include the Metro rail and the Hindon Elevated Road project, as per the Times of India.

Samajwadi Party’s Mulayam Singh Yadav targeted the Yogi Adityanath government last month and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state had failed to check crime and maintain law and order in Uttar Pradesh. Mulayam Singh said ”The BJP government had promised to check crime in five months, but that has not happened so far,” according to Zee news.
