Bihar CM Nitish Kumar floor test: RJD has been protesting outside the Assembly with MLAs holding banners with fiery slogans against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as he appeared for the trust vote. The party leaders stood at the portico on Friday morning, shouting slogans against Nitish Kumar’s breaking off the Grand Alliance between RJD and JDU, and joining Narendra Modi-led BJP government. The posters showed party’s discontent with the CM and his politics. One poster read “Main vishwasghaati hoon (I am disloyal)” with Nitish Kumar’s name undersigned. Meanwhile, another one read as, “Main mahagathbandhan todak hoon (I am the destroyer of the Grand Alliance).” The most bitter slogan, however read as, “Main kursi Kumar hoon (I am Kursi Kumar).”
This poster was a direct attack Nitish Kumar calling him a person who just wants to stay in power and can do anything for power. “Nitish Kumar is a murderer accused under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Media always wrongfully portray a clean image of him but in fact, he is actually ‘Kursi Kumar (chair)’. That is his second name. He can do anything for the chair,” said RJD MLA Bhai Virendra according to ABP News.
Party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav while addressing the media said, “Nitish Kumar turned out to be a snake,” NDTV reported. As a leader of Opposition, he made his debut speech and in a scathing attack towards the CM said, “Aapko sharam nahi aayi? (Are you not ashamed?)”. The party members are now demanding a secret ballot. Tejashwi Yadav claimed today that Nitish Kumar has been deliberately keeping JD(U) and BJP MLAs away from RJD. According to Yadav, many of these MLAs would vote for the RJD if a secret ballot was provided.
