The Hindu Sena activists staged a protest against Salman Khan for his controversial tweet on death row convict Yakub Memon and burnt the Bollywood actor's effigy to vent their ire.
The protestors, who carried posters which read ‘Salman Khan stop supporting terrorists’, raised slogans against the actor.
Salman had earlier tweeted that Yakub Memon should not be hanged as the real culprit is the latter’s brother Tiger Memon.
Yakub Memon has been sentenced to death for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
The Supreme Court had earlier this week rejected his last-minute appeal and upheld his hanging for July 30.
