Bangladesh police have claimed that they have arrested a man suspected of filming the gruesome video that showed a 13-year-old boy being beaten to death with a metal rod by a group of people.
Police nabbed Nur Mia on the outskirts of the north-eastern city of Sylhet late Wednesday. Local police chief Akhter Hossain said that the 20-year-old shot the video on his Nokia phone, at the behest of another accused, Kamrul Islam, reported the Dawn.
Hossain added that he also uploaded the video to Facebook and shared it with his friends.
Mia is the ninth suspect to be arrested over the killing of Samiul Alam Rajon that sparked widespread protests in Bangladesh.
