In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly threw her 18-day-old nephew from 3rd floor of a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.  As per news agency ANI, woman, who is a mother of three daughters, did the act as her sister-in-law had given birth to a boy. The woman was caught by hospital’s CCTV camera in which she is clearly seen walking out with the baby. After throwing the baby, the woman allegedly went back with the towel in her hand, pretending she’s carrying the baby.

However, miraculously the baby survived. Police said that he was caught in a net while falling. When the baby’s parents and other relatives couldn’t find him anywhere, they called police. After some time, a ward boy heard the baby crying, and found him hanging by a net. The hospital worker, with help of some colleagues, rescued the child.
In some parts of India, the birth of a baby boy is greeted by society, while sadly, the girls are considered as a burden.

According to Zee News, she has been arrested. She was reportedly jealous as she had three daughters but her younger sister in law had given birth to a boy. As per some reports, woman has said that she was overpowered by supernatural powers to commit the crime.
