Earlier in the day, terrorists opened fire on civilians near Assam’s Kokrajhar, killing at least 14 people. Reports suggest that the terrorists were dressed in outfits of the Indian Army. One or two terrorists have been neutralised, but it is believed that the rest are on the run and the security forces are currently trying to get the situation under control. The terrorists fired from automatic weapons and hurled grenades. The encounter between the terrorists and the security forces is underway.
