All India Majlise Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday lashed out at Congress and BJP simultaneously and said that Congress party should stop running the shop of secularism and Bharatiya Janata Patry (BJP) should stop running their shop of nationalism. Owaisi said that politics should not be done in the name of terror, he said, “All I would say is that the Congress should stop running this shop of secularism and the BJP should stop its shop of nationalism.”
This came in the reaction to the Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s comment, where he said that Indian Muslims felt alienated with the PM Modi government. Yesterday, Singh said that “continuous injustice done to Muslims and prosecution of innocent Muslims will lead to a situation where Pakistan and Pakistan’s wish to create unrest in India will become attractive to the Muslims of India”. The comments come in the background of a blast on the Bhopal-Ujjain express which is suspected to be the first strike by the Islamic State terror group in India. The MP also said Muslims often suffered hardships under Congress rule too.
