Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has officially stepped down from his position. On Monday evening, the party’s Political Affairs Committee, comprising 12 key members, gathered at Kejriwal’s residence to discuss potential candidates for the top post. During the meeting, Kejriwal proposed Delhi Education and PWD Minister Atishi Marlena as his successor, a decision that was met with unanimous approval from the committee.

Atishi, long seen as the leading contender to replace Kejriwal, is now expected to take over as Delhi’s next Chief Minister. Addressing AAP supporters outside the party office, Kejriwal announced, “I will resign in two days and ask the people to judge my integrity. Until I have their answer, I won’t occupy the CM’s chair.”
