The Indian Army on Sunday rescued a 12 year-old boy who fell into the fast flowing river in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri District. News agency ANI reported that the boy was on his way to school when he fell into the river.
Luckily, some of the Indian Army officers spotted the boy and immediately came to his rescue. He was brought to safety, drenched and shaken.
The rescue by Indian Army also highlighted the issue of unavailability of a bridge in the area. Risking their lives, locals and school children have to use a narrow plank to cross the river.
