The Bawana legislator of the Aam Aadmi Party Ved Prakash left the party to join the BJP, the party leadership is blaming BJP for trying to break up and weaken the AAP party. Mainly due to internal differences AAP lost another MLA on Monday, but blamed BJP for creating differences and attempting to break the party.

Sources said Prakash after deciding to leave the party ignored calls from chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and no sooner made an appearance in the BJP office with its state president Manoj Tiwari.

It is learned that Prakash’s departure will not affect the party’s dominance in the legislative assembly, it is set to dent AAP’s image ahead of the polls. Apart from his stinging allegations against the AAP leadership of being inaccessible to party MLAs, Prakash also spread rumors of 35 other MLAs being disaffected.

Senior leader of AAP said that BJP has done this earlier also in 2015 assembly polls and tried to poach even the Assembly speaker and other MLAs through (BJP leader) Sher Singh Dagar. Naming them he said Vinod Kumar Binny, Rajesh Garg, Ashok Chauhan were all poached. He also said that whenever, the BJP has tried to break up the party or weaken Arvind Kejriwal, the ‘aam aadmi’ has stood more strongly with us.”

He further said that the BJP has no regard for democracy. They also brought down or bypassed a constitutionally-elected government in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Now, they are trying to do the same thing in Delhi ahead of the municipal polls. They are set to face the same defeat as in 2015,” Singh added.
