Apple seemed to face the anger of a French man, who was seen walking into an official store in Dijon and smashed iPhones, iPads and MacBooks with a steel ball used in bowling games. The man was seen wearing sunglasses was captured in a video by another customer, puzzled beyond wits at this erratic behaviour. As people started to stop him, he went on a shooting spree and said that Apple violated European consumer rights. The man also stated that Apple had refused to reimburse him.
‘Give me my money back’. They said no. So you know what’s happening? This is happening!”, he said before wrecking another iPhone. The man was eventually stopped by a security guard and was later arrested by the police. He has been placed into custody and an investigation into his actions is reportedly underway. According to French media, the damage is estimated to be thousands of euros. Another video showed the angry man trying to get away from the security before being brought down again.
It has to be noted that erratic behaviour, often bordering paranoia has been spotted among Apple users this week. Earlier, following a viral video on YouTube, some users drilled a 3.5 cm hole in their Apple iPhoen 7s to hatch a new audio jack. It is, however, not understood as to what these customers were thinking or someone with powers of David Tenant’s “Kilgrave” was influencing their brains.
