The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh took a jibe at the new CM Yogi Adityanath by saying that he is glad that he got married before the anti-Romeo squad was formed. Interestingly, Akhilesh Yadav and MP Dimple Yadav had a love marriage and the former jokingly said that Yogi Adityanath would not have let it happen. He said the way the anti-Romeo squad is working and taking the case of youngsters, he is happy that he got married in time. Akhilesh Yadav met his wife Dimple at a friend's house. Back then, he was doing tourism engineering from Mysore University while Dimple, who was only 17-year-old was in 10th standard. They became good friends in the first meeting itself and slowly this friendship transformed into love. When their relationship was growing, Akhilesh moved to Australia to complete his higher education but despite this distance, their love for each other didn't reduce. You may also want to watch: As soon as Akhilesh Yadav returned from Australia, he decided to get married to Dimple. When he confessed his love, Mulayam Singh Yadav wasn't in favour of the marriage. However, his reason was more political than personal since she was a Rajput. After getting a no from his father, Akhilesh had no other option but towards his uncle, Amar Singh for help. Even though these two don't get along well today and Amar Singh has been expelled from the party, it was him who helped Akhilesh getting married. Amar Singh convinced Mulayam Singh Yadav for this marriage and Akhilesh tied knots with Dimple Yadav on 25th November 1999. Since then, they have been living together happily. The anti-Romeo squads were promised by BJP President Amit Shah ahead of the UP assembly election this year and have been working actively in the state since Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister.
