In his reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi taunting former PM Manmohan Singh by saying that his stint in office was marked by some of the biggest corruption cases in history, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reacted in fury by saying that PM Modi has ‘demeaned his position, himself more than anyone else.’ Gandhi added, Today’s events are saddening, frankly shameful.”

Earlier in the day, After suffering an uncharacteristically incisive personal attack launched by PM Narendra Modi on him, in which he raised questions about his integrity, former PM Manmohan Singh walked off in a dejected manner from the Rajya Sabha in a huff. Refusing to speak to the gathered reporters, Manmohan still managed to stay in character of keeping mum, and just had 6 words to says, “I do not want to speak.” Manmohan had walked out of the Rajya Sabha along with other Congress members in protest against PM Modi’s attack on Manmohan for pulling off a virtual miracle to emerge without a taint from the UPA government’s, which he headed as the prime minister for 10 corruption-filled years.

PM Modi in his speech to the Rajya Sabha on the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address today used the ‘raincoat in bathroom’ analogy to flay the former PM. He said, “The art of using a raincoat while taking a bath should be learnt from him (ex PM Manmohan Singh).

PM Modi also took another dig at Manmohan by saying that “For some 35 years, Manmohan Singh Ji had a lot of influence on country’s economic policies.” He then proceeded to disparage economists and said that, “World’s economists don’t know parameters to assess it. What India did will be a case study for economists worldwide. You quote foreign economists, I can quote 10 of them on the fact that such an action hasn’t been taken in the world ever.”

Chill Pappu ! You should be the last person to comment on 'Shameless' ness. I wonder if you or anyone one in your extended family has even a trace of it after sponging on the country all these years and declaring it as 'sacrifice' to the nation ! Barring a few s surviving on the crumbs thrown by you, no one in the right senses will go with you !
