Surjewala shared an old video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked ‘was 56-inch chest an empty jumla?’ Surjewala further added, “Post May2014, 200 soldiers sacrificed in J&K. He also shared the press release of the Northern Command of Indian Army which said, “Pak Army carried out unprovoked rocket and mortar firing on two forward posts on the line of control in Krishna Ghati Sector. Simultaneously a BAT action was launched on a patrol operating in between the two posts. In an unsoldierly act by the Pak Army, the bodies of two of our soldiers in the patrol were mutilated. Such despicable act of Pakistan Army will be appropriately responded.”

In another tweet, Surjewala asked when will the BJP government break its silence over the issue. “desh ke sainiko ke sath darindigi baar baar, nahi rashtriya suraksha ki darkar, kab jagegi mookdarshak bjp sarkar?” he wrote. However, according to the reports by Times Now, Pakistan has denied any such report by saying it hasn’t mutilated any Indian soldier.
