As down the south, Madras High Court has declined to call off the 79 DMK MLAs’ demand for calling back of their week long suspension, similiar case has now happened in the Gujarat Assembly. Assembly Speaker Ramanlal Vora has suspended all Congress MLAs on Tuesday courtesy their unduly behaviour.

The last of the two-day Monsoon session was going on and the Goods and Services Tax Bill was being discussed when the MLAs started creating ruckus on the killing of the Dalits in Una. As a sign of protest to Gujarat’s new Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, the MLAs shouted slogans, threw bangles and displayed banners to the opposition.

The demand of the MPs was to have an enquiry into the case by a sitting high court judge. The case in question being beating up of four Dalits by self-styled cow vigilantes in Mota Samadhiyala village of Una in Gir-Somnath district on July 11, which created a stir in the Rajya Sabha as well.

The Congress MPs later marched out of the House, calling the rally as ‘Jan Akrosh’ meaning public anger on the increasing dalit atrocities in the country.

The BJP leader Ramanlal Vora had been elected as the Assembly Speaker on Monday by a unanimous vote.
