Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of the party president Amit Shah on Sunday. While addressing the media he said, “Have come to the party that thinks for the poor, my focus is on development not on insulting others.” Ravi Kishan was earlier a part of the Indian National Congress from the Jaunpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh, he had joined the party in 2014. Earlier today actor Manoj Tiwari made the announcement through twitter.

Manoj Tiwari also joined BJP and won the North East Delhi constituency in the Indian general elections 2014.
Ravi Kishan is a popular television personality and an Indian actor and he has worked in Hindi, Bhojpuri and Telugu cinemas. He even participated in Bigg Boss in 2006 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 in 2012. Kishan belongs to Bisuin which is a small village on the border of Varanasi in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Ravi Kishan is the recepiant of the Most Popular Actor award at ETV Bhojpuri Cinema Samman 2008 function. He has also co-hosted a celebrity dance-based reality show Bathroom Singer, Ek Se Badhkar Ek – Jalwe Sitaron Ke on Zee. In 2007, he gave his voice for the Bhojpuri-dubbing of Tobey Maguire’s role as Spider-Man in the third film, marking this to be the first Hollywood blockbuster film to ever also include a Bhojupri voice dub in India. This gave him an idea to create a superhero film.
