AAP vs Chief Secretary: In order to grab the CCTV footage of the night when Delhi Chief Secretary met AAP leaders, the Delhi police today conducted a search at CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence. After the search, Additional DCP told reporters that the hard disks of 21 CCTVs were seized. AAP, on the other hand, accuses BJP of hatching a conspiracy.

AAP vs Chief Secretary Highlights: Following the alleged assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, the Delhi Police on Friday (February 23) morning, arrived at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence in order to scan the CCTV footage of the day when the meeting between the Delhi Chief Secretary and Aam Aadmi Party leaders took place. The search was necessitated after the police failed to recover the CCTV footage from the PWD officials. Harendra Singh, Additional DCP, after the search, told reporters, that hard disks of 21 CCTV cameras have been seized by the police.

Reacting to the development, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that he was happy that the matter is being investigated but adding that he sees no investigation going on in the Justice Loya death case. He asked when will Amit Shah be questioned over the incident. The search has taken a political turn with Kejriwal bringing in the Justice Loya death case angle. In a slew of tweets, he has attacked the BJP for not probing the death of Justice Loya.

8:45 PM: Fourteen CCTV cameras were running while seven were not working. Also, there was a time lag of 40-43 minutes with respect to the time of the alleged incident, the official said.

8: 30 PM:  A total of 21 CCTV cameras and a hard disk were examined by the police. The hard disk was seized and any possibility of “tampering” with the system could be ascertained only after forensic examination, Additional DCP (North) Harendra Singh said.
