The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday accused the Aam Aadmi Party of stabbing the citizens of Delhi in the back with the recently revealed budget for the city, challenging the Arvind Kejriwal-led party to clear the air over the controversy surrounding the funds set aside for radio advertisements.

“AAP and Kejriwal don’t have the courage to come before the media and explain on what basis they have increased the publicity budget from Rs 26 crores to Rs 526 crores. In the budget, they have levied a massive burden on the common man: all taxes in Delhi are going to go up, and the common man is feeling the pinch of the AAP government. They have stabbed the citizens of Delhi in the back, and they are using that money to promote themselves,” BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said.
