Air ticket to the city of Nagpur on December 3 and 4 may not be available, courtesy the grand wedding of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s daughter. A report in Hindustan Times said that over 10,000 guests, most of them VVIPs including politicians and businessman will reach Nagpur on Sunday evening. The list includes names like Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president Amit Shah, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. As per the report, guests will be flown to the city in 50 charter flights. Other VVIPs scheduled to attend the wedding include Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, film stars Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.

However, Nitin Gadkari’s office has denied the news by HT issuing a statement. “News that 50 chartered flights will ferry VIP’s for Nitin Gadkari’s daughter’s wedding are mischievous & incorrect,” Nitin Gadkari’s office said in a statement. Only ten non-scheduled flights have landed at Nagpur airport in the last 24 hours, according to the ATC Nagpur airport. The wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held at Rani Kothi on Wardha Road in Nagpur. This is not the first time that Gadkari is throwing this grand wedding ceremony. In 2010, when his son Nikhil tied knot with Rutuja, a similar gathering of VVIPs was seen in Nagpur. Gadkari’s other son, Sarang, is also married. Gadkari’s daughter Ketki, the youngest among three siblings, is scheduled to tie the nuptial knot with Aditya, the son of Sandhya and Ravindra Kaskhedikar of Nagpur. Both work for as social networking company Facebook in the US.
