Prime Minister Narendra Modi today completes three years in the office. BJP is all set to celebrate the third anniversary of the NDA government even as Congress has launched a scathing attack on PM Modi and the ruling dispensation at the Centre. Prime Minister Modi will address the nation at the Khanapara Veterinary ground in Guwahati. On the other hand, Congress will hold a series of press conferences throughout the day to continue its attack on the Modi government. Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani said the programmes to mark the occasion will mainly be around the MODI fest and to propagate the message that the NDA Government and the BJP stand for Sabka Saath,Sabka Vikas. PM Modi will inaugurate India’s longest Dhola-Sadiya Bridge in Assam. The third anniversary celebrations of the BJP-led NDA Government will be centered around Prime Minister Modi, with a Making of Developed India (MODI) festival. Congress has accused the Narendra Modi government of indulging in a multi-crore propaganda blitz to build the personality cult of one person.
Party president Amit Shah will address media this afternoon. In Guwahati, Chief Ministers, MPs and MLAs of BJP ruled northeast states will attend the grand event. It has been noted that huge arrangements are made for the welcome of Prime Minister Modi. A control room is being set up in Delhi to monitor the programmes and visits of the BJP leaders between May 26 and June 15. Also, all party leaders making these visits have been asked to spend the night in the district concerned.

The Congress had alleged that distraction, propaganda, falsification of facts, intolerance and insulting political opponents and questioning the wisdom of intellectuals has been the hallmark of the BJP-led NDA government. Claiming that there was “no economic growth and it is a flat growth”, it demanded that the government make public the GDP numbers as per the old formula and provide details of those it has given jobs during last three years.
It party also hit out at the Centre over a host of issues including the “sluggish” economy, “serious” internal security, “plummeting” investment and savings, and social conditions where minorities were feeling “unsafe”. “Hundreds of crores of money they are taking out of the vaults of treasury just to build a personality cult around one person. The BJP has called it ‘MODI Fest’,” AICC senior spokesperson Anand Sharma told reporters.
