At least thirteen people were reportedly killed in a fire accident in Ghaziabad on early Friday morning. Many people were also injured during the incident. As per reports, the incident happened early in the morning. The factory is located on the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border of the districts Sahibabad area. Soon after the incident fire tenders rushed to the spot.
In October, fire was reported from a crackers’ factory in Sahibabad. In the incident one person was killed and another was critically injured. In May this year, at least four employees of an e-commerce firm were when a fire engulfed their second-floor office in the National Capital region. One person also succumbed to injuries while jumping down from the building. The incident had happened due to short circuit.
The latest incident occurred at around 8 am. The cause of the accident is still not clear. This area had seen several incidents of fire tragedies earlier as well. The fire department had sent notices to several high-rises in Kaushambi.
The Uttar Pradesh Police’s fire department had conducted a fire safety audit in which it was found that all 21 high-rise housing societies in Kaushambi were lacking fire safety regulations.
