ATA Medical presents its unique product, CTMP – a protected milieu transport chamber
The CTMP is a protected-milieu transport chamber. Its aim is to guarantee the transportation of a patient without any risk of cross contamination: the confining level obtained by the CTMP allows the protection of environment (medical staff, transport means, environment) or of the patient himself.
While basically designed for the transport of biologically contaminated patients, CTMP is also arousing the interest of various emergency medical services. The chamber can operate in negative and positive pressure mode, allowing wide usage within the hospital.
Negative pressure mode: For transporting infected patients or patients suspected of biological contamination such as viral hemorrhagic fever, Ebola, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SRAS), smallpox, tuberculosis, meningitis, etc.
Positive pressure mode: For protection and transport of immune-compromised patients: bubble child, aplasia, etc.
CTMP also allows medical assistance of the patient. In the upper part of the device there are sealed ports for introduction of medical connections. They can be linked to any medical equipment provided by the medical team in charge of transport, saving up on new equipment training.
The CTMP is suitable for air or road transport. It has been designed and manufactured in a very hard material, able to resist shocks caused by transportation and high level pressure. It can be completely decontaminated and therefore be re-used after having transported a contaminated patient.
CTMP is used in France by the Armies’ Health Service and the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Agency. It has also been used widely in Africa recently due to the Ebola outbreak.
As air quality experts, ATA Medical also fights against nosocomial infections and offers a wide range of air decontamination solutions like:
- laminar air flow ceilings
- hygienic AHUs
- mobile air decontamination units.
