We are living in times where nurses and nursing have become more critical than ever before. While everyone knew of the crucial role they play, the pandemic put the spotlight on them as they became the first line of defence - be it in a clinical setting or in the field. And while many of us stayed at home, they stepped up with courage, compassion, and care in the most teetering and trying times. Around the world, nurses are working under enormous pressure providing care to sick and dying patients. Many are faced with increased stress, and other negative effects on their mental health.
They are also faced with the possibility of infection and death from COVID-19. Its time that we come together to recognise them, to empower them and to let them know that we care for them. One of the ways of do so is provide them the right tools and technology for the job. As more of the population ages, as life expectancy increases even as shortage of nurses continues, it is imperative that focus is laid on equipping them with the technical & technological wherewithal to deal with new demands in health care. At this conference, we will bring together the Nursing heads of various multi-speciality hospitals, both private and public, elaborate more on how technology can enhance nursing endeavours in delivering top-notch patient care. The event will also celebrate & recognise nursing efforts for delivering unmatched patient care.
