EXPRESS AWARDS FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

An initiative of Financial Express & FICCI Flo, the awards will celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements by India’s leading women entrepreneurs. Whose innovative approach & clutter breaking ideas have created positive changes in the business and social ecosystem in India. Moving a step further from ‘empowerment’, the platform looks to acknowledge and enable women leaders & achievers who have opened up new opportunities for themselves & for others.

AN INITIATIVE OF

Financial Express has always essayed a leadership role in raising pertinent issues across industry verticals. The publication takes great pride in playing the role of a facilitator and encouraging debate and discussion amongst its various stakeholder communities in order to drive meaningful change. Towards this, we introduce another thought-provoking forum from Financial Express.

FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), the women’s wing of the apex chamber ‘Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’ (FICCI) was founded in the year 1983 and is the oldest women’s business chamber in Southeast Asia. FICCI-FLO represents over 8000 women entrepreneurs and professionals across 18 chapters nationally and impacts the lives of thousands every year through its work. FLO works aggressively towards promoting economic empowerment & equal opportunities for women across sectors and verticals of the economy, for a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory.

AWARD CATEGORIES

We invite entries in the following 8 industry verticals for both established organizations & rising businesses that show potential

E-commerce

Individuals who have identified niche growth opportunities in the e-commerce space or could innovate and use the power of this medium to ensure gains for the consumer and yet be transformative for the business.

Technology

Individuals who have been able to leverage technology and come up with impactful solutions for a sector or found an innovative way to solve a rather prickly problem. The end gains could be for users in any sector.

Social Impact

Individuals who have been able to deploy their entrepreneurial skills and created business models that impact lives or have been able to materially made a difference that addresses a social problem. But it is a sustainable solution or service that can be taken to scale and has been able to attract takers - either through impact numbers or by way of ability to sell the model and raise funds.

Education & Skill Development

Individuals who have been able to evolve and in sync with the changing needs in the education space have been able to come up with innovative models and solutions that are quite transformative, sustainable, and scalable.

Health & wellness

Individuals who have identified opportunities and have come up with innovative, sustainable, and scalable solutions in the health and wellness space, leveraged technology and skills appropriately to materially impact clinical outcomes.

Media & Entertainment

Individuals who have businesses in the Indian creative industry and have been able to carve out a niche with a clear USP and one they have shown results and is able to attract takers - customers/ investors.

Fashion & Lifestyle

Individuals who have been able to pivot business or come up with innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions or services with clear USP that keeps in mind the changing consumer aspirations.

Hospitality

Individuals who have been able to clearly demonstrate a USP that has helped it prevail in times that had upended the sector and is not just an also-ran. Participants must clearly demonstrable outcomes that is finding takers -customers/ investors.

JURY AWARDS

Additionally, the empaneled jury shall felicitate three additional awards in recognition of outstanding and inspiring work by India’s women entrepreneurs who have gone above and beyond and achieved the extraordinary!

METHODOLOGY & EVALUATION PARAMETERS

An equitable judging committee comprised of relevant industry experts, experienced businessmen, and leaders from academia shall be empanelled to select finalists from the list of entries. This industry-specific Jury panel will evaluate entries with a homogenous 20% weightage for each evaluation parameter as stated below.
After scoring the entries , nominees shall be shortlisted and finalists selected for each category
