Karan Johar, the man who’s known for his romance, for his grandeur, for his larger than life canvas that his audiences reels in is also known for his candour. Often the filmmaker makes remarks that makes the paparazzi crack up. With many blockbusters to his kitty and a plethora of bollywood stars to back upon, KJo laughs his way to the bank with every release of his but now, the director cum producer has revealed the big secret out!

With his most touted project in the pipeline, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Johar hopes to make the audience weep again as he believes that is what helps his case. In a candid remark, Karan said, ‘Every tear that you shed is a dollar in my account. You weep and I laugh all the way to the bank.’

Sure enough, from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham to My Name is Khan, Johar touches the emotional chord of his audiences everytime.

Johar’s films are often trolled for their illogical content but now it seems the director is looking forward to turn the tables with even bringing in a content team at his Dharma Productions to rope in original content. With his last, Kapoor and Sons receiving critical acclaim for its apt portrayal of family relations and, Karan says nowadays ‘The movie star is no longer the king but the content is.’
