Cricketing sensation Virat Kohli is all over the news these days – not just for pulling off such terrific performances during India’s encounters with Australia in both One Day and T20 cricket series, but also for one more reason now. The Indian skipper appeared on a talk show with Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan on national television and both the icons gave fans some memorable memories to to retain. Both Virat and Aamir, for the first time, shared space on the small screen and discussed plenty of topics pertaining to each others’ industry, lifestyle and other affairs. However, what really impressed the audience was the moment when the ace batsman shook a leg and actually performed a ‘bhangra’ with Aamir on one of the songs from his movie Rang De Basanti. As many of Virat’s fans know that he nails it when it comes to dancing, but this time watching him dance was indeed a treat to watch.
Both Virat and Aamir also shared some interesting facts about their lives that only a few knew earlier. While Aamir said that he has only completed his higher secondary education, Virat revealed that he did not even do that. “I haven’t even done 12th (class). I passed 11th (but) after that I started playing India U-19 when I was 16. You (Aamir) have done 12th, I’ve not even done school,” he said.
Next in the topics of discussion was his nickname, which is ‘Cheeku’. Commenting on this, Virat revealed, “Mr MS Dhoni has made my nickname (Cheeku) famous. Dhoni saab said ‘Cheeku’ once into the stump mic and it was picked up from then on. Now people just call me Cheeku as if they’re my neighbours.”
Known for his sensible statements and fair take on common issues, Aamir took forth the topic of cricketing fans’ behaviour when India losses a match. “When people criticise or troll cricketers on social media, it irritates me. You say India is your team, you support India and love India, and the love is visible when the team wins. Then people applaud and unfurl the flag. But when the team loses, that is when the team needs you. Your support should come at that time,” Aamir said.

And last but not the least, the moment which came as a sweet surprise for the audience was when Aamir asked Virat about one quality that he likes in Anushka Sharma. Taking on the question with sheer confidence and no hesitation, the captain said, “I’ll talk about the one thing that I love the most about her is that she’s super honest, she speaks her mind.”
