India doesn’t really have a rock music culture to boast about so when back in 2008 Rock On! was released, we had our very own reasons to be proud of. The movie based on the lives of four friends, joining hands for a Rock Band was every teenager’s dream come true. The music beyond the performances was what got the critics applauding. And after a sabbatical of 8 years, the Rock on gang is back! With Shraddha Kapoor to join on in the musical endeavour, the film’s teaser has already hit 3M views.

The film produced under Excel Entertainment banner of Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar has brought out its first song and to state the least, we are not disappointed. The music, which was one of the strongest points of the prequel is going to get even better.

The track ‘Jaago’ was released today. The song shows the boy gang having a ball in front of the marine drive with the iconic Taj Hotel at the backdrop. Featuring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Shashank Arora, it makes the wait even more dreading.

Arjun Rampal is again seen in his long mane and Farhan Akhtar steals the show as usual with his performance. And if the lyrics and music wasn’t enough to give you an adrenaline rush, we have the multi-talented Akhtar ziplining over audience at one point. The man looks as suave and sexy as he ever has. With the husky baritone of Farhan and the youth centric jingle, Jago is one more brownie point to the film.
