A new documentary titled ‘In Her Own Words’ has been produced by the BBC, which includes the previously unseen footage of Amy Winehouse that depicts the life and career story of the singer.
The documentary, which has been made available on the channel’s Iplayer service, featured the performance from a BBC One session the English singer did in 2007, after her second album ‘Back To Black’ made her an international name, the Mirror reported.
A number of unseen interviews with the singer have also been included in it, many which were recorded as part of other BBC documentary projects including the ‘Jazz and Soul Britannia’ series on BBC Four.
BBC Music editor James Stirling said that they were honoured to pay tribute to Winehouse with a programme featuring exclusive footage from her performances at the BBC.
The release of the BBC documentary comes just days before Asif Kapadia’s feature length film ‘Amy’ hits cinema.
