Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai is doing what looked impossible for most films in 2017. It is etching records every day and has not only becomes Salman Khan’s highest grosser but is also looking to topple Aamir Khan starrer PK’s collection. The film so far has collected Rs 330 cr approximately and is inches away from surpassing the benchmark collection of PK. Salman Khan, given the overwhelming performance of the film has also announced a sequel for the film which he believes will not be delayed like TZH. Continuing its winning box office collection streak, TZH has also become the only movie of 2017 to have made a profit of a whopping Rs 188 cr! The movie has witnessed one of the widest releases across 5825 screens and has been a rage worldwide.
But before it earns more money at the box office, the Salman Khan starrer has to bear the brunt of an attack by two new most anticipated films that are to release on Friday, ie PadMan and Padmaavat. The films’ release on January 25 and will pose a great threat to Tiger Zinda Hai. Padmaavat in itself has become the most hyped film after political rows erupted around it. PadMan, on the other hand, has made audience curious because of the issue with which it is dealing. The brand value of these films should not be underestimated since both the films boast of a very strong star cast. While Akshay Kumar films have hardly failed to leave their mark on the box office, stakes are high for Padmavaat as well. In such a circumstance will Salman Khan magic still prevail? Remember, the film is already over 3 weeks old in the theatres.
