Tiger Zinda Hai box office collection day 19: After crushing all the 2017 releases except for Baahubali 2, Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has become the second highest grosser of the last year and now, almost 2 weeks past its release, Tiger Zinda Hai is still raking in decent sums (comparatively) and is etching records in both domestic and overseas box offices. But now after competing and beating his counterparts, is it Salman vs Salman at the box office for the top places on the list? As we are aware, TZH has already surpassed the collection of Sultan, now the film is competing against Bajrangi Bhaijaan which the actors highest grossers till date. The question is can he beat his own benchmark? Bajrangi Bhaijaan had a lifetime collection of Rs 320.34 cr. TZH is now inches away from earning that sum. Tiger Zinda Hai by the end of day 18 earned Rs 311. 88 cr. The film’s day 19 collection will be Rs 2.5 cr approx. The film is running steadily after completing over two weeks.

Salman Khan has pulled off some extraordinary records at the box office but this is not the first time Bhai has had his brush with stupendous box office earnings. Earlier, the record has been broken by Sultan (2016) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), which managed to earn a lifetime collections of Rs 300.45 crore and Rs 320.34 crore, respectively. TZH is Salman Khan’s third film to make it to the Rs 300 cr club.

While it is doing very well, however, the movie may not be able to surpass Aamir Khan’s hugely successful Dangal and PK’s box office records. Incidentally, both Dangal and PK were released during the Christmas period.

As far as Bollywood industry is concerned, Salman Khan has saved it blushes in 2017. It was turning out to be bad year for the industry as blockbusters were hard to come by. However, there were some surprises like Ajay Devgn starrer  Aamir KhanRicha Chadha starrer Fukrey 2 and even Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2, still these could not provide the kind of boost Bollywood needed to ensure it ended on a high. Salman bhai has rescued the industry on a number of occasions and this will go on to burnish his star even more.
