From being the most-watched show on Indian television, to its massive fall into irrelevance, the Kapil Sharma Show’s rise and fall teaches you a lot of management lessons. Things went bad for the show when a rift between Kapil Sharma and his co-actor Sunil Grover became public. The latter decided to leave the show and many other actors followed. Even though the channel tried to replace these actors with other artists, its efforts went in vain. 1. Success isn’t permanent
Reaching to the top might be tough be but keeping that top spot is even tougher. One thing we have learnt from the fall of The Kapil Sharma Show is that success isn’t permanent and in order to maintain, you need to keep working hard and not be distracted by personal reasons at least – especially problems.
2. Don’t let go of the winning team
It is very difficult to find people you can help you achieve success. If you find good employees, don’t let them leave. Yes, the replacements are always there but the chances are they might not be as good in the same roles. Also, it is effective in terms of cost-cutting and time-saving. The Kapil Sharma Show tried to replace Sunil Grover, Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar and others but it turned out to be a big flop.
3. You won’t go far by insulting teammates
For the most part of the show, Kapil cracked jokes on his teammates that were insulting at times. It helped him gain popularity but it is never a good idea in the longer run. You have to show respect towards others for long-term success.
