With such a huge turnout in theatres, Sultan opening day collection could be as high as Rs 40 crore – analysts pegged their predictions at around Rs 35 cr. Sultan cast includes Anushka Sharma, Suzi Khan, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh.
Sultan is the most-awaited movie of 2016 and true to form, Salman Khan managed to galvanise the masses and virtually usher them into the seats in cinemas across India to single-handedly create a massive money-making opportunity.
Sultan is Salman Khan’s Eid release and he has made the festival period his very own fiefdom as far as the world of cinema and the hearts of his fans are concerned.
With Sultan all set for an extended weekend of windfall as there is no rival movie releasing alongside his own, Salman Khan has a free run to make money hand over fist – the holidays are just an open invitation for people to head for cinemas. According to Bollywood Hungama Sultan take on day 1 could be as massive as Rs 40 cr or more. Also, the film’s advance booking has been as mammoth as its opening day occupancy rate in cinema chains like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis, which managed to sell as many as 400,000+ tickets.
Now, as far as Sultan is concerned, all it needs is a big word-of-mouth booster shot and its box office collections will keep on skyrocketing into the opening weekend and well beyond that too.
