It may have missed the deadline, but 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' might still make an appearance at Critics' Choice Awards.

It may have missed the deadline, but ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ might still make an appearance at Critics’ Choice Awards.

In an unprecedented move, The Broadcast Film Critics Association has asked members if they’d have voted for Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ before the polls closed.

If it gets the go ahead, the latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ could be entered in the Best Picture category, according to The Wrap.

“Our purpose in presenting the Critics’ Choice Awards is to celebrate the finest cinematic achievements of the year. It appears that many members believe Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ deserves to be included.

“In this unique situation, we think this is the best way to proceed.”

The Critics’ Choice Awards will take place on January 17, 2016. And for any judges who might be reading: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is the film you’re looking for.”
