Sridevi was in Dubai attending the marriage of nephew Mohit Marwah with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi. According to reports, the iconic Bollywood actress passed away on Saturday and the reason for her sudden death has been deemed as ‘accidental drowning’. Sridevi’s mortal remains were brought back to India on Tuesday following which she was cremated in Pawan Hans Crematorium with state honours.
The death of the legendary actress has not only shaken the pillars of the Kapoor family and the Bollywood industry, but grieving fans prove a point how Sridevi had touched the lives of millions. Thousands of fans had flocked to Lokhandwala from where her funeral procession had started just to have a glimpse of the actress. The entire film fraternity had shown up to bid farewell to the actress and pay last respects to her. Following the cremation, Boney Kapoor also penned down a heartfelt tribute to the biggest superstar of Bollywood and exclaimed how their lives will never be the same again. He also shared his gratitude towards friends, family and colleagues who stood by the family like a rock. He called Arjun and Anshula the pillars of strength for himself and his daughters.
