Simran box office collection: Controversy’s favourite child Kangana Ranaut has been giving some tough time to many B-town celebrities with her recent public revelations. Speculation is rife about how it will affect her equation with other stars but despite a raging B-town war, Kangana’s upcoming movie has surely grabbed some advantage based on the ugly ongoing spat that none of the participants seem willing to stop. The fans are understandably lapping it all up. Nevertheless, not just the audience but the industry too is looking forward to Kangana’s upcoming release, courtesy her statements, but more than that Bollywood has not been in the best of health business-wise for quite some time and needs as many hit movies as it generate, no matter where it comes from. Simran releasing on September 15 is one of the most talked about movies despite lacking top-end star power.
Kangana, since the release of Queen has been one of the most acclaimed actresses of the industry and if reports are to believed, the movie is set to put up a lifetime collection of about Rs 70 crore. If you go by the numbers, since the release of Queen in 2013, Kangana has hardly featured in a successful movie except Tannu weds Mannu sequel. Her last release was Vishal Bharadwaj directed Rangoon which performed miserably at the box office despite being one of the most ambitious projects of the Omkara director.
A lot rests on Kangana’s shoulder since her presence in the movie makes it one of the more anticipated movies of 2017. If she puts out a great performance, then the word of mouth will definitely provide a massive boost and then just about sky is the limit.
