Shahrukh Khan to make a comeback to Indian television with ‘TED Talks India-Nayi Soch’

Shahrukh Khan is all set to return to the television with his new talk show 'TED Talks India: Nayi Soch' that will be aired later this summer.

The king of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan who has earlier hosted TV shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (the Indian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire), ‘ Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ (the Indian version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?) is all set to return to the television with his new talk show ‘TED Talks India: Nayi Soch’ that will be aired later this summer. The TED in Technology, Entertainment and Design and this show will be a video series which will feature inspirational speakers from different fields and will deliver messages and give insight on how to improve your life.

‘TED Talks India-Nayi Soch’ will be aired on Star Plus and hence its tagline ‘Soch Nayi’ is added to the name of the show to give it a much needed Indian touch. The show will include speakers that will share their big ideas with the focus on technology, entertainment, design along with scientific, cultural, and academic topics in TED’s signature format which is a short and powerful presentation of 18 minutes or less. The launch date of the show is still not disclosed, but the first episode of the show will include a female and a male speaker along with a musical performance.

According to The Times of India reports, Shahrukh Khan in a press release from the organisation said, “I believe ‘TED Talks India-Nayi Soch’ will inspire many minds across India. It is a concept I connected with instantly, as I believe that the media is perhaps the single most powerful vehicle to inspire change. TED’s unequivocal drive to showcase simple but unique ideas in an effort to spark debate and conversation.”

Famous TED speakers include Bill Gates, Sir Richard Branson, Jane Goodall, Al Gore,  Sal Khan and Nandan Nilekani along with Indianoriginn speakers who won the annual TED Prize of $ 1 million for ground-breaking ideas- Sugata Mitra(2013) and Raj Punjabi (2017).
